![]() ![]() The lack of Asha 203 support is probably a memory issue: all other Asha phones have at least 32 MB of RAM, but the poor 203 has to make do with just 16 MB. Which makes it impossible or at least difficult to make Whatsapp work with them. So there must be something in the way dual SIM is implemented in Series 40, Also, Whatsapp works fine in dual SIM Android phones to my knowledge. Nobody would make a mobile service which requires a 100% reliable connection. SIM-cards would interrupt with the connection. Based on my understanding with dual-SIM phones the problem is essentially the same - Whatsapp should stay connected all the time, or otherwise you will miss messages from other users. Which didn't get Whatapp support at all (Asha 203). There is at least one previous existing example of a single-SIM Asha model Yep, it's up to the developer for a big part, but also about phone specs & performance as Whatsapp is implemented so that it can run in the background and stay connected all the time. ![]()
